Our Story
Greensect is a project that was born from 2 Italians and 1 Bangladeshi who met in University in 2014. We noticed a big problem in Bangladesh’s local agricultural sector: farmers struggle to profit from their harvests due to the rapid increase of agricultural costs, caused by climate change and global geo-political tensions.
Having read about the Black Soldier Fly, an insect that is gaining global popularity because of its fast conversion of food waste into products, we decided to start the first Bangladeshi company to create insect protein, oil and fertilizer commercially.
